How Does A Computer Work?

Most of us are just basically just users of computers but dont you ever wonder how a computer works .You know how it functions how you get those images sound and apps altogether to work almost magically.

First we look into what makes a computer system

Hardware

– Physical devices (Outside & Inside Computer)

Software

-Programs Installed in the computer

-Used to help the computer perform various activities

-Divided into 2:

1)Operating System

2)Applications(Apps)

Input

• A device used to command the instructions needed to be performed by the computer (Click,Capture,touch,scan,Download etc)

Output

– Displayed result or outcome of the instructions and tasks performed by the computer

Many people confuse the two therefore i would like to show the difference.Expansion slots are the socket for which the adapter card is inserted and plugged into.

 

EXPANSION SLOTS – socket that hold adapter cards

ADAPTER CARDS – Adapter Cards is used to enhance the functions of a component / provide connections to peripheral
